Annapurna circuit and Base Camp Trek

  • Duration 28days

Description

The Annapurna Circuit and Base Camp Trek is a comprehensive and diverse trekking experience that encompasses the Annapurna region’s most iconic features. The journey typically begins in Besisahar and takes trekkers through a wide range of landscapes, from lush subtropical forests and terraced fields to alpine meadows and high mountain deserts. Along the way, trekkers encounter diverse ethnic communities, including Gurungs, Magars, and Thakalis, providing a rich cultural tapestry. The trek passes through the famed Thorong La Pass, one of the world’s highest trekking passes at 5,416 meters (17,769 feet). As the trek progresses, it splits into two main routes: the Annapurna Circuit, which completes a circuit around the Annapurna Massif, and the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, which leads to the base camp of the majestic Annapurna I. Both routes offer spectacular views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, making this combined trek a well-rounded adventure that showcases the natural and cultural diversity of the Himalayas.
